About Us

Our History

Yarra Bend National Park is located only a few kilometres from the Melbourne CBD but is home to an amazing variety of bird-life, ancient River Red Gums and the beautiful Yarra Bend Public Golf Course at which we play.

The influence of Vern Morcom, an iconic Australian course designer, is demonstrated in the way the course follows the contours of the Yarra River to provide a scenic and moderately challenging course, now improved and well maintained by Yarra Bend Golf staff.

It is home to the Yarra Bend Ladies Golf Club who play competitive golf each Tuesday morning and often manage social golf at other times.

Yarra Bend Ladies Golf Club was formed when a small group of local women saw the potential for a ladies’ club, and it has provided support for beginners, excellent competition and regular social activities since 1995.

Our Activities

Yarra Bend Ladies Golf Club is a vibrant and active club.  In addition to our regular competition day held on Tuesday mornings and social golf, the club annually holds a Guest Day, two social golf events held out of Melbourne, opportunities to play against other clubs in VGL Pennants and Bowls and Salver competitions, and Christmas and mid-year social events.
